This work invites viewers into the vast wilderness of China's Yadan landforms in the Western regions. Between undulating sand dunes and wind-sculpted rock formations, the desert’s solemn grandeur murmurs through the silence alongside ancient cliffs that have stood for millennia. Together, they reveal time’s dual nature— where shifting sand patterns on rock surfaces record fleeting changes, while unchanging mountain silhouettes speak of time’s enduring weight.
As a student, I explore this coexistence of change and constancy through ink wash: as wind etches new wrinkles onto stone, the persistence rooted deep within the earth’s veins quietly converses with passing time.
